Arm Lift in ISCARE Prague

* After a rapid weight loss, loose skin can occur on the upper arms. Arm Lift (=Brachioplasty) tightens the skin and is recommended to be combined with liposuction.

** General Information

The excess skin and fatty tissue is removed while leaving a small scan in the middle upper inside of the arm. This is not visible when wearing a short sleeve, or through clothing.

** Consultation with the doctor

Prior to the arm lift, there is a detailed discussion with the surgeon about which approach to take and what exactly you expect as an outcome. You will be informed about the surgery duration, possible risks and the postoperative care.

After the operation, the patient wears an elastic bandage for about 6 weeks. Exercising is forbidden for 2 months and no exposure to solar radiation is allowed (no sun bathing or solarium).

** Potential complications
  • Very little bleeding and swelling (lasts for approximately 2 weeks)
  • During the healing process the scars can slightly change color. This should fade out during time
  • As with any surgery, there is a risk of thrombosis
