Ear Surgery in ISCARE Prague

* Ear Surgery (=Otoplasty) is performed to adjust ears, which stick out from the head too much. It is one of the life lasting operations with a remarkable and immediate result. Plus, scars are hidden back behind the ears, so nothing is visible.

** General information about treatment

The surgeon makes the incision on the back side of the ear to remove skin to be able to work with the cartilage. Then, the cartilage is shaped into the desired angle of the ear and fixed in the desired position.

** Consultation with the doctor

Before the ear surgery, there is a detailed discussion with the surgeon about which approach to take and what exactly you expect as an outcome. You will be informed about the surgery duration, possible risks and the postoperative care.

** Potential complications
  • Very little bleeding and swelling (lasts for approximately 2 weeks)
  • During the healing process the scars can slightly change color. This should fade out during time
Prices

The price of the ear surgery is 750 €. The patient pays the pre-operational examination costs 110 €, the short hospitalization is 40 € and local anaesthesia 85 €.
