Liposuction in ISCARE Prague

* Liposuction at ISCARE clinic in Prague is one of the most requested procedures. Great thing about liposuction is that in the treated areas, the fat is sucked out and it never comes back since all the fat cells are gone. Also the downtime is rather short, few days’ rest and back to normal activities. In case you are not satisfied with your body contours, liposuction is the right choice for you.

** General Information

Liposuction is a very effective method for forming the problematic areas on the body. It is performed in the areas of waist, abdomen, outer and inner thighs, calves, knees, the arms or the double chin. At ISCARE we use the tumescent liposuction technique. Liposuction removes the excess fat with the help of a small metal tube. The treated area is first filled with a special liquid to prevent bruises and edema after surgery. Also, the liquid numbs the area so that the patient feels no pain. The method is suitable for modeling the figure; it is not intended for weight reduction. Only a small scar of 4 mm is left on the skin in the place of incision.

Ideal candidates for liposuction are both men and women. Liposuction can be combined with other kinds of surgeries such as abdominoplasty, thigh lift, or facelift.

** Consultation with the doctor

Prior to the surgery, there is a detailed discussion with the surgeon about which approach to take and what exactly you expect as an outcome. You will be informed about the surgery duration, possible risks and the post operative care. Before the surgery, the doctor marks the fat zones on the body.

No sport is allowed for 2 month although the patient can get back to normal daily routine after 1 weak. After the surgery, bloodstains may be visible for about 3 days and some slight swelling may occur for about 2 month. The final effect is though visible after approximately 2-month time. The scars should not be exposed to solar radiation (sun bathing or solarium) for 2 months as well. The overall result depends on the skin type, age, and weight.
